2019 Festival of Homiletics - Minneapolis

"Preaching as Moral Imagination"

Vendors Profile #1

Here are a few vendors you can expect to see at the Festival of Homiletics this May:

Shop the World Gifts

Shop the World Gifts is a Fair Trade gift shop that is fighting world poverty by bringing together thousands of poor, but very talented artisans with people who will appreciate their works. Our merchandise comes to us through missionaries and several fair trade organizations from the largest to the smallest ones.
Our physical store opened in 2006 and is located in Englewood, Tennessee, but our "rolling store" has no boundaries as we go to churches wherever we are invited to do a "Fair Trade Festival".

Fashions by Sarah

Fashions by Sarah offers patterns and kits for elegant cutwork wall hangings as well as ready to hang. Sarah can also create a custom wall hanging to fit your specific needs of size and design.
Fashions by Sarah also offers patterns for vestments plus a full line of original ready to wear stoles. Sarah’s stoles can also be custom made to fit a specific need or desire

C & M Designs

C&M Designs is a North Carolina company committed to excellence since 1994. We offer completed clergy stoles available for immediate purchase as well as custom-ordered stoles for special themes or occasions. Our liturgical vestments are the creations of a variety of skilled professionals including the exceptionally talented fiberartists who make our clerical stoles. In providing the most creative and finely crafted liturgical vestments available, we seek to support the ministries of affirming faith communities.

Lilly Endowment Clergy Renewal Programs at Christian Theological Seminary

Lilly Endowment's Clergy Renewal Programs are administered by the Center for Pastoral Excellence at Christian Theological Seminary.

Through its religion grantmaking, Lilly Endowment, an Indianapolis-based, private philanthropic foundation, seeks to deepen and enrich the lives of American Christians. It does this largely through initiatives to enhance and sustain the quality of ministry in American congregations and parishes.

To this end, National and Indiana Clergy Renewal Programs provide an opportunity for pastors to step away briefly from the persistent obligations of daily parish life and to engage in a period of renewal and reflection. Renewal periods are not vacations but times for intentional exploration and reflection, for drinking again from God's life-giving waters, for regaining enthusiasm and creativity for ministry.

Wipf & Stock Publishing

From the land of great microbrews and towering Douglas firs, Wipf and Stock Publishers is the underdog team, a ragtag bunch who arrive to work with mud still on our shoes from the weekend ride or hike. Committed to writing that honors the imagination, intellect, and heart, our model is simple yet provocative: with a list as diverse as our northwest landscape, we publish based on the merits of content rather than marketability. We have no agenda and are shamelessly unapologetic about what we like: relationships, good beer, fine books, and enough coffee to keep us moving. We work hard to bring relationships back to the focus of publishing, because we believe in the value of voice.

Spirit & Truth Publishing

Spirit and Truth Publishing was started as a business and ministry to provide materials that help the people of God connect their rich spiritual roots and traditions with a vibrant expression and experience of worshiping God, revealed in the person and work of Jesus. Currently, our product list is short, but we hope to expand it as God inspires and guides us to further work.
