Thank you for joining us at the 2020 Festival of Homiletics Online ! We learned a few things as we shared our first day of programming, so we’ve made some changes to make your experience go more smoothly today. To prevent confusion, we’ve removed the direct link to Vimeo; you can watch today’s programming on our website or in the Festival Lounge (with the extra vendor fair, live chat, and networking opportunities available there). Finally, if you experience difficulties during the event, you can always click the help button on the Festival homepage and our staff will be ready to help you out.
The free festival with pre-recorded sessions streamed live online will begin Monday, May 18th, 2020 at 12:00 PM Eastern Time through Friday, May 22, 2020. (see schedule).
- If you haven’t registered for the free online version of the festival please do so now.
- Once registered, you can tune into the Festival in one of two ways! Note that when you access the livestream each day, you’ll be prompted to enter the email address you used at registration. If you arrive early, you may need to refresh the page at the top of the hour. To avoid having to reenter your email each time you refresh, try just clicking the play button on the video stream.
- Watch on the festival website.
- Head to the Festival Lounge in the Faith+Lead Learning Lab. Network with other participants, browse our vendor fair, access speaker handouts, and more. The Festival Lounge will open each morning at 10 am Eastern Time. (if you don’t have an account already, you’ll be asked to create one—it’s free!—before participating).
A quick note: in between sessions, you might get a message that the feed is offline. Don’t panic! We’ll be back in a minute or two. If you’re waiting more than five minutes past the start of a given session, you may need to refresh the page.
These sessions will not be re-broadcast. If you want to catch one that you missed, or view them again, you can purchase the On-Demand Recording Package for $75. The recording package includes all the presentations and sermons from the virtual Festival as well as additional bonus material from many of our presenters. (Due to copyright restrictions, the music concerts and worship liturgies are not included. See a full listing of all bonus content on our schedule page.)
The price for the full recording package will go up to $150 following the festival, beginning May 23, 2020. If you have already purchased the on-demand package, you will receive an email once your account has been created with instructions on how to login to your Abila account. All on-demand sessions will become available beginning June 1, 2020.
