We're Ready for Festival 2013!

Ready for Festival 2013The Nashville ground crew has put on the finishing touches at First Baptist Church (108 7th Ave. South), and we are prepared for more than 1,700 participants for the 2013 Festival of Homiletics.

Registration is now open!

Tonight's program will kick off with music from Ashley Cleveland and Beth Nielsen Chapman starting at 6:30 p.m. -- make sure to get to First Baptist early to secure your seat -- doors open at 5:30 p.m. The sanctuary will be filled to capacity and overflow seating will be in the fellowship hall in the lower level.

Worship at 7 p.m. will feature preaching by Walter Brueggemann ("Ministry in the Asylum"), with liturgy by Joe Fitzpatrick and music by the First Baptist Choir.

The evening is completed with a lecture by Barbara Brown Taylor,"Learning to Walk in the Dark."
