Our line-up for 21st Festival of Homiletics is amazing! It features some of today’s most prestigious writers, prominent theologians and beloved speakers. These are voices to be heard!

We start the week off strong with an evening with Barbara Brown Taylor; one of America’s best known preachers. She is joined by fellow religious leaders Vashti Murphy McKenzie; bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Church, and international lecturer, Rev. Grace Imathiu. Her interactive preaching session is sure to be educational.

Prominent writer and Christian historian Diana Butler Bass will offer her thoughts on the church in her presentation. She is always a crowd pleaser! Lending their unique voices to the week’s line-up are fellow authors Lauren Winner, Carol Howard Merritt and Phyllis Tickle, founding editor of the religion department at Publishers Weekly. Together they represent a wealth of knowledge and experience.

From the academic realm we have gathered together several progressive and respected professors of theology including Barbara Lundblad; Union Theological Seminary, Karoline Lewis; Luther Seminary and Anna Carter Florence; Columbia Theological Seminary. Their lectures and worship services are sure to be inspiring and engaging.

We fill out the week with heavy hitters Nadia Bolz-Weber and Lillian Daniel. These dynamic speakers are powerful leaders in their respective faiths whose presence at the festival is sure to be a highlight.

A week to be remembered full of great lectures and inspiring worship - your experience is sure to be enriched by these influential women of faith.
