Bio

Consultant and Coach, Center for Progressive Renewal

A native Northern Californian and 3rd generation Chinese/Filipino, Bruce has lived in San Francisco since 1998. An ordained Presbyterian he was the founding pastor of Mission Bay Community Church and in 2008, he was elected the Moderator of the 218th General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (USA). He now earns his keep as a writer, speaker and consultant/coach with the Center for Progressive Renewal.

Julie Pennington-Russell is a prominent Baptist minister in the United States of America. Her ministry has provoked controversy due to disagreements concerning women in church leadership. Pennington-Russell received a B.A. in Communicative Disorders from the University of Central Florida in Orlando in 1981, and an M.Div. from the Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary in Mill Valley, California, in 1985.

Bio

Rolf Jacobson joined the Luther Seminary faculty as assistant professor of Old Testament in July 2003. Prior to joining the seminary, he taught at Augsburg College, Minneapolis, as an assistant professor of religion.

Jacobson earned his bachelor's degree from the University of St. Thomas, St. Paul, Minn. in 1987. He holds a master of divinity degree from Luther Seminary (1991) and a doctor of philosophy degree from Princeton Theological Seminary, Princeton, N.J. (2000).
